In March 1992, the Tomen Devices Group was established for the marketing of semiconductor products and electronic components in Japan of Samsung Group, one of the top class semiconductor makers in the world. We develop our businesses using the partnership with the highly competitive Samsung Group, along with our collaboration with the Toyota Tsusho Group as our strength, accommodating a wide range of needs from our customers.
The semiconductor market is currently experiencing a significant transformation, driven by rapid technological innovation and increasing global demand. Notably, the swift advancement and proliferation of AI technology has spurred a surge in demand for AI servers, positioning this sector as a major growth engine for the semiconductor industry.
Moreover, the evolution of this field such as the rising demand for data centers, fueled by increased data usage, the spread of cloud services and the acceleration of digital transformation (DX), as well as increased data flow, widespread AI adoption and advancements in autonomous driving technology has continued to provide significant growth opportunities for semiconductor market. At the same time, the industry also faces challenges, including managing supply chain risks related to geopolitical risks and natural disasters, as well as reducing environmental impact. At Tomen Devices, we are committed to proactively addressing these challenges while leveraging our robust relationship with the Samsung Group and creating synergies with the Toyota Tsusho Group.
