Message from the President

We recognize that pursuing sustainability is an important management issue, and we aim to realize a sustainable society and enhance our corporate value by incorporating it into our management.

Aiming to further strengthen our sustainability efforts and achieve sustainable growth, we have established the “Sustainability Management Committee.”

The Committee will identify the Company's sustainability issues (materiality) and establish a system to formulate and promote policies and measures to respond to such issues.

We have also reaffirmed, through the COVID-19 crisis, the importance of responding to the increasingly rapid changes in the market environment, and of continuing to promote our business with resilience, even under difficult circumstances.

We will steadily implement initiatives to enhance corporate value while also balancing investments for growth and the strengthening of the Company's management foundation with a long-term vision. The initiatives include creating new business opportunities through environmental initiatives including climate change, promoting DX that allows us to accommodate to the “COVID-19 era” as well as the “post-COVID-19 era,” promoting new work styles such as telecommuting, developing human resources, which are the greatest management resource in a trading company, and establishing a sophisticated governance system as a basis for the Company's operations.
